What is a ‘Sales Funnel’ and how can you use one?

A simple guide for Coaches, Therapists and small business owners

If you run a small business of your own online, or have been hurried online recently by the recent changes, then understanding what a sales funnel is will really help you.

And if you happen to be anything like the majority of my clients, you will not be a fan of the jargon that comes from the marketing world — you might even find terms like “sales funnel”, confusing, annoying, or intimidating.

So let me help by stripping back the jargon and breaking it down in plain English.

You can think of a sales funnel as the journey that your customer takes on their way from just getting to know you, to purchasing one of your offerings.

It’s a journey that you guide with what you put in place — for example, you might run ads that point to a quiz, from opting in to that quiz they receive your weekly emails, and from that email marketing they eventually buy from you.
