This week I’m talking about creating content for your Life Coaching business — quickly and without stress.
There is a common misconception that in order to be visible, consistent and present online, you need to create brand new content from scratch ALL THE TIME — can you imagine how much work that would be?
Well, it’s simply not the truth. What you actually need to be doing is recycling the content you already have. You just need to keep sharing your core message over and over, until the right people find you.
Want to know how? And perhaps you are also worrying that it might look spammy?
I know where you are coming from. Consider that you are not just copy and pasting, but teaching the same core lesson in a variety of formats. Some of your audience will be visual people who prefer an Instagram graphic, some are readers who like your email newsletters and longer blog posts, while others prefer a video.
Recycling your content to fits these different tastes (and different social media platforms) is a really sensible way to get more mileage out of one content idea.
For example; a short lesson about any topic, let’s say making a change in your life, can begin life as a long blog post on Medium and LinkedIn articles. You can then recycle that content into a few shorter posts to share again on LinkedIn, on Facebook too.

From there, you chop it up shorter still into the most powerful sentences — or maybe just the title of the blog post — just like this one here. These you make into quote cards (text on a square background) for Instagram, and/or a tall version for Pinterest if you like.
Then finally, if you are comfortable making videos, use the blog post as your script to talk about the topic on Facebook live — then upload that video to YouTube too.
How much content is that?!? And it all comes from that one, original idea that you write your blog post about. That one blog post, when recycled well, can get you an awful lot of exposure for your business.
P.S. This Medium post began life as my email newsletter, and I recycled the lesson from there. Join my email list for more tips AND get an awesome free video masterclass from Dr. Andrea Pennington and I on content creation for life coaches (in much more depth) by signing up here.
